Workshop Diary - Digital Workshop, 21st March to 27th March 2004

Day 4, Thursday 25th March - words and images by Nancy MacArthur

I have looked forward so much to coming on this course as an escape from my life at home.

I didn’t know quite what to expect but looked forward with great eagerness to my break away from reality.

I was completely surprised and thrilled when I arrived and found such a peaceful and heavenly dwelling place.

My desire to learn Photoshop and all that it can teach me has been nonstop but my desire to find a more peaceful me has been with me for some considerable time.

My friends from our local Camera Club have always been very supportive of me and I am glad to say that we all managed to come to this course.

The aura of the house intrigues me.

There is something more than just the building here because I can sense a spritual warmth which cannot quite be explained.

This could be Sam’s or the many previous owner’s doing or it could just be an original source from when the house was built.

Perhaps these two girls hold a key to the secret belonging to this house.

Our daily bread made and given so warmheartedly by Sam.

Wholefood cookery made by Suzy with very fresh vegetables and thoroughly enjoyed by us all.

The words of wisdom and truth are posted all around the house and intrigue me.

My hope for the future is brighter, my peaceful vibes have been invigorated and my learning of Photoshop is hopefully so very much better.

Wherever the auras of the house here in Quiraing Lodge came from it still exists and oozes out of everyone who is willing to take the time, peace and composure to find it.

I offer these words to everyone, a Celtic Prayer:

Deep Peace of the running waves to you.
Deep Peace of the flowing air to you.
Deep Peace of the quiet earth to you.
Deep Peace of the shining stars to you.
Deep Peace of the son of peace to you.
