Day 5, Friday 2nd November
Tiredness
is catching up.
I came this week hoping to learn
more about Photoshop. I have definitely done that and have unexpectedly
developed an intention to do some black and white prints, inspired
by Suzy and Sam's prints on the walls and the work in progress
that I have seen during the workshop.
Ian has been a delightful teacher
with the same clear and patient approach right up to today! We
may all be a bit fuzzy around the edges just now (see my shaky
snap of the class this morning) but I know all of us have progressed
in our different ways.

For instance this morning he
said to Caroline "You are becoming a computer nerd"
with slight disapproval of "nerd" and slight pleasure
with her new found enthusiasm for the technology.
The group exhibition and curry
is to follow this evening after a wonderful week.
Thanks to all from me, especially
Sam, Suzie and Ian.

we were all linked to Betchworth
and had to give the poor hard working satellites a break every
so often, they managed very well.

Sadly we have come to the last
day. Many things are much clearer, but oh dear!, there is so much
more to learn!.
It seems that quite a lot comes
from trial and error, but it is a great advantage to have a level
playing field to start from.
Each morning Ian has very patiently
explained what each of the buttons 'do' (or sometimes doesn't
do).
The big word is SAVE, so that
we can always start again.
The course has been exceptionally
good, and well worth the daily trip across the Quiraing.
It has been a pity about the
weather but, hey! we had such fun indoors!
