Workshop Diary - Digital Workshop, 1st to 7th April 2001

Day 2, Tuesday 3rd April

Tuesday, 3th of April, the day started with the usual rain but quickly brightened up to be quite sunny. So! after a hearty beakfast of various grain (oat, muesli and something with fruit in it), we answered the call to class where we were instructed in the art of files and folders in Photoshop. After listening to Ian pass on his wisdom and hopefully taking it in to the grey matter we stopped for coffee and discussed what we had just learned. Now came the time to put into practice what we had (hopefully) imbibed into our struggling grey cells.

Jo and Ian

Well I think we we got by and did something with our images. The proof of the pudding is in the eating as they say and we will just have to wait and see.

Lunchtime at Quiraing Lodge

Lunch time and we all sat down to a very tasty bowl of dulse soup (yes seaweed) and meat pie. In the afternoon off we went to Portree with film to be processed when we arrived Ian and my self liberated a pint of ale while the rest of our motley crew did their own thing.

On the Road to Portree

Meeting all together again we went to see a very good exhibition of photographs we were all very impressed by the feeling of space and light that the images gave.

We then went for essential supplies from the co-op (booze) and returned as a merry band to Staffin and I personally crashed out on a settee. On returning to the land of the living I settled down to record this report on the day,

Dinner is beckoning so I will cut it short and inform anybody interested that our menu for tonight is Vegetable Chilli cooked by Michelle. Then it is all down to meaningful discussions on matters of world shaking significance till the land of nod summons us all.
So it`s goodnight from me and goodnight from them.
